Side Quest Labs Inc. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Snapstuff mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, name, and profile picture (if provided via OAuth).
- Item Data: Photos, descriptions, financial information (purchase price, estimated value), serial numbers, brand, model, condition, and other details you enter about your items.
- User-Generated Content: Labels, tags, custom fields, and organizational categories you create.
- Communication Data: When you contact us for support, we collect the information you provide in your message.
Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
- Usage Data: Features used, actions taken, timestamps, and interaction patterns within the App.
- Error and Diagnostic Data: Crash reports, performance data, and error logs to help us improve the App.
Information from Third Parties
- OAuth Providers: If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture as authorized by you.
- Payment Processors: RevenueCat processes subscription purchases through Apple App Store and Google Play Store. We receive subscription status and entitlement information but do not receive or store your payment card details.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App
- Process your item photos using AI to extract and suggest item details
- Manage your account and subscriptions
- Send service-related communications
- Monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve user experience
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security threats
- Comply with legal obligations
3. AI-Powered Features
Our App uses artificial intelligence to analyze your item photos and provide:
- Automatic item identification and categorization
- Estimated values and pricing suggestions
- Receipt data extraction (purchase date, price, retailer)
- Marketplace listing generation
AI Data Processing: Your photos are processed by Google's Gemini AI service. Photos are sent securely and used solely to provide the analysis results. We do not use your photos to train AI models.
Optional Web Search: If you enable the "Exa Search" feature in settings, we may search the web for current retail pricing information based on item details (name, brand, model). This feature is off by default and requires your explicit opt-in.
4. Third-Party Services
We share information with the following categories of service providers:

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Specifically:
- Account Data: Retained until you request deletion
- Item Data: Retained until you delete items or your account
- Error Logs: Retained for 90 days
- Usage Analytics: Retained in aggregated, anonymized form
6. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:
- Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL)
- Encryption of data at rest
- Access controls and authentication requirements
- Regular security assessments
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights and Choices
All Users
- Access: Request a copy of your personal data
- Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and data
- Export: Export your item inventory data

9. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:
- Posting the updated policy in the App
- Updating the "Last Updated" date
